ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born to hippie parents in Toronto, Canada, Zan was raised to celebrate freedom in creativity and accept no limits. Encouraged from a young age to explore and experiment with life, her artwork reflects brave colours and balanced compositions. Sometimes light and playful, playing with negative space, other times dark and brooding, her unabashed use of colour is refreshing and modern.

Graphic designer and artist, video game addict and mom to 2 adult boys, Zan stumbled into this beautiful acrylic style in 2020 while looking for something to keep her hands (and mind) busy during the lockdown.  Suddenly laid off from her job of 23 years, wondering what she was going to do with the rest of her life...I think she found it.
